Take a walk down Hollywood Boulevard, as we explore the magic of shows both on Stage and on Screen!
Many movies and musicals are household names, but not all of us know their origins. Some of our most beloved shows started their life as a children's book, others as a weekly cartoon character, and some starting as movies turning into musicals then turning into the final movie musical we all know and love!
This Semester our 2019 Intermediate students will be working in a new format, with two classes running on a Friday afternoon to allow smaller class sizes, more personalised training, and a more rewarding experience for all students.
The first week of term we will hold a casting session to split the group into Intermediates 1 (Fridays 4:00-5:45pm) and Intermediates 2 (Fridays 5:45-7:30pm) with the full cast coming together during our Sunday rehearsals, and extended Tech and Dress rehearsals to piece together one excellent extravaganza worthy of the big screen!
Both groups will come together to perform our final production of STAGE AND SCREEN on Sunday the 16th June, 2019 with two performances at 2pm and 6:30pm
This production is part of our INTERMEDIATE Program for students in Grades 6 to 8.
Weekly rehearsals will be held on Friday afternoons at the Redlands Memorial Hall (44 Smith St, Cleveland) and will commence on the 1st February, 2019.
A casting session will be held at this first rehearsal (Between 4pm-8pm) to split the group into...
Intermediates 1 - Fridays 4:00-5:45pm
Intermediates 2 - Fridays 5:45-7:30pm
These groups will be determined by the ROCKIT Creative Team following the casting session and decisions are final. If you have a scheduling conflict and can only make one session, please inform the ROCKIT Team prior to your audition as provided on the application form below.
Tuition fees for this production equate to only $9 per hour!
Tuition fees for the FULL SEMESTER cost $580.00 (inc. GST) with various payment plans available.
$50 (inc. GST) Costume Hire Levy
We always endeavour to keep costume costs at a minimum, so some simple costumes will be supplied by students (Shoes, socks, T-Shirts, etc) while the more complex items will be supplied by ROCKIT Productions.
