MEET OLIVIA WEEKS

Olivia studied at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music, graduating with a Bachelor of Music, majoring in Performance and Jazz voice. She has completed Harvest Rain’s musical theatre internship program, and has received private vocal coaching from age nine.

 

Olivia was awarded honours in her Grade 8 AMEB Singing for Leisure exam. She performs as a solo artist under the name Peppermint Ollie, and her music can be found on Spotify and iTunes.

In 2016 Olivia’s strong online presence lead her to be approached by the the BBC to write and perform songs for Season 2 of their children’s television show, LifeBabble. In 2017, Olivia was awarded a grant from Advance Queensland which she used to record and release her debut EP, Difficult, as well as create a three part documentary series about the process of recording, which can be found on her YouTube channel of thirty thousand subscribers.


Olivia has been a part of ROCKIT Crew since its first year in 2015, and is now Assistant Music Director of the group.

 

She has taken part in numerous musical

productions, including Redlands College’s productions of West Side Story (Velma) and Oliver! (Rose Seller).

 

She was also involved In The Theatre Factory’s productions of You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown (Charlie Brown) and The Little Mermaid (Mermaid/Princess). Whilst completing her internship with Harvest Rain in 2013, Olivia was also cast in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (Philia).

Olivia has performance experience with numerous genres, and teaches classical, musical theatre and contemporary styles. Olivia is passionate about sharing her love of music with anyone willing to learn!
