MEET GEORGE CANHAM
George began his dance training at a very early age, so turning this passion into a career was an easy choice!
Through professional training, George has earned vocational qualifications in RAD Ballet, ISTD Tap, ISTD Modern and holds an internationally recognized ISTD Associate (Teacher of Dance).

Making his professional choreographic debut in 2014 with GUYS AND DOLLS shortly followed by Monty Python's SPAMALOT, George has cemented himself as one of the leading musical theatre choreographers in South East Queensland.
With a growing list of choreography credentials to his name, past productions include YOU'RE A GOOD MAN CHARLIE BROWN (Independent), A TRIBUTE OF SORTS (La Boîte Indie and QTC transfer), THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE, THE MUSICAL OF MUSICALS: THE MUSICAL, A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM, and over 25 Youth Theatre Productions including ANNIE, CINDERELLA, ALADDIN, ALICE and HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL.

In 2011, George completed a 2-year Musical Theatre Internship to further develop his skills as a performer, choreographer, and teacher.

This opened up the opportunity for him to work as the assistant choreographer for some of the most prominent productions in Queensland including JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT, JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, GREASE, and THE WIZARD OF OZ, all of which were produced at the QPAC Playhouse.
Furthering his path in this industry, he is starting to gain recognition in the field of commercial dance, working on high profile events such as Channel Nine's Underbelly Razor cast party, 96.5FM Radio stage shows, The Lord Mayor's New Works DANCE DESIGN, and the nationally televised Education Queensland's Creative Generations - State Schools Onstage in 2012, 2013 and 2014.

George is the resident dance instructor for numerous companies, dance schools, and academic colleges across the greater Brisbane area and is absolutely thrilled to be part of the ROCKIT team!
