"I'm a Survivor..."

So… You think you can be a Survivor and pass the Master challenges filled with Fear Factor while using use your X-Factor Voice to impress the mysterious Bigger Brother while dodging The Mole to win this Amazing Race and carve your name into the history books and not be the Biggest Loser in the Jungle? Well before you can yell "Get Me Outta Here" you'll have to join the 33rd Season of TOTAL MELODRAMA ISLAND!

 

Contestants from around the world are flown into a filthy jungle in the middle of nowhere and are forced to dance battle it out to survive. They'll need to keep their wits sharp and their voices in tune if they want to take home the crown but all is not what it seems on Adventure Island… be careful where you walk or you might be sucked in to the drama…

AUDITIONS

TMDI is a very ensemblic show, so rehearsals will commence before auditions.

Auditions for this production will be held on Saturday 29th July during the first all day rehearsal.

PERFORMANCE

Our Intermediates will be involved in 6 performances!

 

TECH REHEARSAL:   Saturday 11th November

SHOW DAY:   Sunday 12th November (2 show day)

SHOW DAY:   Saturday 18th November (2 show day)

SHOW DAY:   Sunday 19th November (2 show day)

WHO

This production is part of our INTERMEDIATE Program for students in Grade 9 

and will perform alongside our younger ELEMENTARY students.

​

REHEARSALS

Weekly rehearsals will be held on Friday afternoons from 5:00-7:00pm at ROCKIT LAUNCHPAD STUDIOS 

(36 Old Cleveland Rd, Capalaba, 4157)

and will commence on Friday 14th July, 2023. 

 

Classes run following the QLD State School Calendar, observing QLD Public Holidays. 

 

FULL DAY REHEARSALS

There will be three Full Day Rehearsals throughout the Semester so our Intermediate students can learn their blocking, extra songs and dances and piece together the show with the Elementary cast.  

These dates are:

Saturday 29th July, Saturday 26th August, Saturday 21st October

(Times TBC)

 

EXTENDED REHEARSALS

As we near closer to the show, we extend our rehearsals a little longer (4pm -7:30pm) so that we can run the show with costumes within the rehearsal time. 

These dates are: 27th October, 3rd, 10th, 17th November

FEES

Each of our Musical Theatre performance programs run over two terms, full fees and discounts are viewable HERE.

 

A Costume Hire fee of $65 (inc. GST) will be added to your Term 3 Invoice so the team can get your costumes ordered and ready for the musical in Term 4.
We always endeavour to keep costume costs at a minimum, so some simple costumes will be supplied by students while the more complex items will be supplied by ROCKIT Productions.
