The REDLANDS MUSICAL THEATRE SUMMER SCHOOL is back in 2024 and we are thrilled to announce a new twist on our workshop format.
After touring the country for the last few months, Chelsea Dawson (from SIX - The Musical) is back in town and headlining the Summer School as Artist-In-Residence!
This weeklong intensive is curated to kickstart the year for passionate performers, with workshops lead by Chelsea and her incredible network of friends from the performing arts industry. With a focus on storytelling, these workshops are the perfect start for a budding artist in 2024.

TIME: 9:00am to 3:00pm
(Drop-Off from 8:30am / Pick up until 5:30pm)
COST: $350 ($299 - Early Bird Price, save 15%)

• DROP-OFF / PICK UP •
We know many families juggle other extracurricular workshops alongside work hours during January. To assist with this, the studio will be open from 8:30am for early drop-off, and will remain open until 5:30pm for late pick up. Workshops will formally conclude at 3:00pm. From 3:00-5:00pm the ROCKIT Team will facilitate a theatre-themed hang out space with movie viewings, games, and other activities for students who are unable to be collected until after this time.

ABOUT CHELSEA DAWSON
Chelsea Dawson (she/her), born and raised in Brisbane, is a proud recent graduate from the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University’s Bachelor of Musical Theatre.
While studying, Chelsea had great delight in performing in productions such as Les Misérables (directed by Alister Smith), The Drowsy Chaperone (directed by Penny Farrow) and Elegies: A Song Cycle (directed by Jason Langley).
Before her time at QCGU, Chelsea trained with ROCKIT Productions and worked with shake and stir Theatre Co in their 2018 season of Much Ado About Nothing as Beatrice.
In 2021, Chelsea made her professional debut in GFO’s production of Shrek The Musical as the Wicked Witch and was also a part of Serpentine Arts Company’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Throughout 2022 and 2023 she travelled across the country playing the iconic Katherine Howard in SIX: The Musical and has just completed touring with MAMMA MIA as Sophie's cover.
