Musical Theatre Program (Grade 7 - Grade 9)

Matilda Logo 2026.avif

Show Overview

Inspired by the beloved story by Roald Dahl, MATILDA tells the tale of an extraordinary young girl with a brilliant mind, a vivid imagination and the courage to change her own destiny.

Featuring music and lyrics by Australia's Tim Minchin, this award-winning musical has captivated audiences around the world.

Matilda Wormwood is intelligent, curious and remarkably resilient, despite being misunderstood by her parents and bullied by the fearsome headmistress, Miss Trunchbull. At school, she finds friendship, discovers her own strengths and forms a special bond with her kind teacher, Miss Honey. Together, they inspire one another to stand up for what is right.

Filled with unforgettable songs, energetic dance numbers and plenty of heart, MATILDA celebrates the power of imagination, the importance of kindness and the belief that even the smallest person can make a big difference.

Join our Grade 7–9 students for this highly awaited production!
